Kelly & Martin: New Jersey Wedding Photography at Seasons in Washington Township

I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Martin, a fellow photojournalist and my former co-worker at The Jersey Journal, to his lovely bride, Kelly, at Seasons in Washington Township, N.J. on March 5, 2011. Interesting fact about Martin:  he is one of the founding members of Project Noah, “a mobile field guide and website enabling citizen scientists to share wildlife spottings from around the world.” Check out their site and download the app at http://www.projectnoah.org/ He also developed his own app, Historic Earth.

Here’s a kind note from Martin:

The photos are incredible!! Just wanted to thank you again, everyone we’ve shown them to loves them, you managed to capture good ones of just about all the guests, and the portraits of my wife are nothing short of stunning.

Kelly posted this glowing review on Wedding Wire:

I cannot begin to say how happy we are with photographs Reena took for us at our wedding. From our first meeting where we talked about what we would like, to other conversations, to the day off, when she documented everything with such thoroughness, that in looking at the pictures of the Reception I can basically remember the song that was playing at the moment of most pictures!

Reena gave us a few photos within a few days and then set up a website for guests, and emailed out our DVD within 2 weeks.

What for me was particularly wonderful about Reena’s work, was her ability to capture my family and friends in tender moments, and moments when it is clear they are having a great time. In addition, it is something of a miracle that my father was both able to walk me down the aisle, and have a father daughter dance (and was not with a cane or in a wheelchair). That fact that in none of the photographs do I see him wincing in pain, or does it appear like he’s limping is something I will always cherish, in addition, to the number of candid tender moments she caught between me and my husband.

Thank you Kelly and Martin for letting me be part of your special day. Here’s wishing you both a long, lasting and happy marriage!
