Simone Marie (“Simmy”) is a little girl with a big personality. She recently celebrated her third birthday. Quite the feat for someone who came into the world three months early and suffers from respiratory problems. None of that is evident from her radiant smile, infectious laughter and boundless energy as you can see from these photos from our portrait session at the beautiful Skylands New Jersey Botanical Gardens in Ringwood, NJ, on August 14, with her mom Kandice and grandma Jackie.
Jackie and Kandice have established a venture called Simmy’s Stitches. Do click on the link to visit the website and learn more about this giving organization. (And by the way, if you are in need of a good massage, Kandice is opening A Touch of Topaz Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork on September 1! Click on the link to learn more about it from its official Facebook page.)
I have photographed Simone two other times before, so in a way, I’ve watched her grow. She calls me “Miss Reena” (which sounds more like “weena”) which melts my heart. I hope I get the chance to take her pictures again for her 4th birthday.
