JERSEY CITY, N.J., JAN. 30, 2014 — Spectators are dwarfed by the nearly 400-foot long monster crane, Left Coast Lifter, nicknamed ‘I Lift NY,’ one of the world’s largest floating cranes which will be used in the construction of the new New York bridge to replace the Tappan Zee. It arrived in the Port of New York and New Jersey and will be berthed at a private facility on Port Jersey Boulevard in Jersey City until it’s moved to its project site in the spring. JERSEY CITY, N.J., JULY 30, 2014 — Ineehsa Hill, 10, gets a yogurt facial from Jersey City Medical Center dietary intern Ashka Vaidya during the GIRLTALK #takeover program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County. Around 150 Hudson County girls ages 8 to 16 participated in various arts, beauty, health and wellness activities aimed to empower female tweens and teens. Among those activities were yoga, cardio-boxing exercise, makeup, hairstyling, manicures, fashion, a healthy cooking demonstration and a media workshop. Aviles, 19, pleaded guilty to stabbing Medina on Dec. 21, 2013, outside a North Bergen party. Medina’s lung was punctured, he went into cardiac arrests and suffered seizures due to his injuries. JERSEY CITY, N.J., SEPT. 12, 2014 — As part of the company’s annual School Transformation Days program, more than 100 volunteers from Fidelity Investments Jersey City engaged students at Rafael De J. Cordero Elementary School in fun STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum-related workshops such as obstacle course games, building bridges with candy, building solar cars, assembling robots that spin and doodle on their own and playing Fantastic Fraction Bingo.
