On Assignment: World War II shipmates recall old times, reunite in Hoboken, N.J.

Robert Begerow, 88, of Heathrow, FL, originally from Newark, NJ, visits the memorial.

Mel Riedberger, of Crosslake, MN, and Al Lupo, of Lakeworth, FL, read the plaque of the memorial.

The nine veterans pose for a photo with the Hoboken Fire Department honor guard at the memorial.
