On Assignment: Blue Angels fly past One World Trade Center

JERSEY CITY, N.J., DEC. 13, 2013 — Seven F/A-18 Hornet aircraft piloted by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron flew by One World Trade Center in New York City, as seen from across the Hudson River at Exchange Place in Jersey City, for a promotional photo shoot. Six of the fighter jets flew in formation while the seventh took the photos. The jets left from Teterboro Airport and flew up and down the Hudson River three times at a height of about 1,000 feet, officials said.
