On Assignment: Polar vortex blasts Hudson County

BAYONNE, N.J., JAN. 7, 2014 — With his breath fogging up and freezing on his eyeglasses, Sean Shaeen, 18, (above and below right) takes a morning walk with his father, Zee Saed (below left) by Newark Bay at the Stephen R.
